With temperatures in the upper 80s, 90s and beyond, the heat of summer is upon us. When you want to take a break from the sweltering weather, pop inside for a delicious salad or a simple sandwich. It’s summertime and the pace of life slows down a bit. While you are finding a respite from the heat, consider looking at your financial plan for the year. We are now past the halfway point of the year and it might be a good time to consult with your Certified Financial Planner (CFP) about whether you are on track to meet your yearly goals. Are you putting away as much as you need to invest? Are your goals the same or have they been modified to accommodate changes in you and your family’s life and lifestyle?
July is a fine time to review. Your financial planner can sit down with you to look over your current investments and determine if it is right for you. If not, your advisor might suggest some alternatives. Doing this now can help you in the years to come, so take a few hours inside to make sure you are ready for the rest of the year.
Les Merritt, CFP and CPA, can help you plan and keep track of your investments as you go. He and his staff have been helping businesses and families with their financial planning for over three decades.
When you are ready to evaluate how well you have planned for the year, take the time to contact Les Merritt at (919) 269-8553 to set an appointment. Make sure you drink plenty of water and enjoy your favorite outdoor activities. And when you come in from the sun, during one of your retreats to beat the heat, be sure to schedule time review your financial plans for yourself and your family.
