After Hurricane FlorenceMany North and South Carolinians have been through Hurricane Florence. We hope you do not have damage or that it is minimal. All of us had to prepare by getting water, batteries and other supplies. We had to plan for this unexpected event. Even though there were warnings, the scope and intensity of the storm changed dramatically last week. The flooding was beyond what most anticipated.

Wonderful things are happening in the Carolinas and around the country as people are contributing to funds to help those who lost so much in Hurricane Florence. Some of us have taken supplies and water to drop-off points to be distributed to those in need. Others have sent money to organizations who are helping those hurt by Florence. You can sense an overwhelming attitude of giving in the air and a feeling of gratitude from those who were not affected.

The unexpected is part of life but you can prepare. Just like for Florence, you can be ready when the unforeseen happens. Putting away something for a rainy day is wise. A certified financial planner (CFP) can help you figure out what you can save and where to invest your savings to earn the best return.

Les Merritt, CFP, is ready to work with you to prepare for the unexpected. By making investments now, if something comes up, you can be ready. Your savings today can also help prepare for college costs, renovations and retirement. Give Les a call today at (919) 269-8553 to set up an appointment to secure your future.
